Full Dyscalculia Diagnostic Assessment
This is the most in-depth assessment available and offers far more than a screener. An array of cognitive testing will be carried out with the learner, covering mathematical knowledge and fluency, processing, underlying ability, memory and even literacy. Further tests are used as required but can include visual spatial assessments or handwrinting. The report you receive from this is very comprehensive; so much so that we usually chat it all through to make sure you fully comprehend its implications. The report, or parts thereof, can be given to school to enable them to better accommodate and support the young person in their setting. Schools may use this to supplement their own assessments for exam access arrangements such as extra time for exams, at their discretion. Higher or Further Education may use it similarly but access arrangments for exams are not guaranteed with a report or even with a diagnosis as each exam centre forms their own judgment.
